I’ve been rushed off my feet recently.
Teacher Stories came out, I completed a journalism course – writing a dog story (there’s a big market for dog stories…) among other things – and Robert McCaul interviewed me for the mighty TEFL show.
At Work – my ebook of speaking activities for Business English – also came out, 20 activities to use straightaway in class.
At Work forms part of the Minis series published by The Round, so hats off to Lindsay Clandfield and all at The Round for supporting new writers.
Other books in the series are: Moral Dilemmas, Brainstorming, Logic Activities, and Richer Speaking.
The book itself?
No materials, no fuss, just 20 easy-to-use speaking activities. And it’s cheap, available on Smashwords or Amazon for under a pound. What a bargain!
(BTW, if you want to write a review of At Work for Amazon or Smashwords – you get a free copy. Leave a comment below.)
So, for all those who follow this blog, I’ll put up one free activity a month from the book. If you use the activity—tell me how it went (if it bombs….sorry…tell me too).
This month’s activity, in time for conference season, is Conference Small Talk.
Download the free lesson plan here.
Enjoy.
